As a member of CEE's refrigeration consulting and One-Stop Efficiency Shop teams, Tyson supports small to midsize businesses by evaluating existing refrigeration and HVAC systems, diagnosing improvement opportunities, and providing recommendations for efficiency upgrades or replacements.
Before CEE, Tyson spent eight years as a commercial sales manager for Batteries Plus Bulbs across Wisconsin and California. He attended Gateway Technical School in Kenosha, WI, with a focus on HVAC and business.
As CEE's Marketing Account Manager, Keller supports the organization's mission and values with a focus on emerging community-based programs and initiatives. She helps implement effective strategies, tracking program impacts, and upholding the company identity.
Prior to joining CEE, Keller helped build the foundational marketing department for a startup medical technology company based in Minneapolis. With a BA in Communication & Journalism, along with a minor in Political Science from the University of St. Thomas, Keller has honed skills in communication, strategy, and project management.
As systems administrator, Kyle ensures smooth and secure installation, operation, and maintenance of servers, services, and network infrastructure at CEE's offices.
As a program manager on the program development team, Grace plays an integral part in the launch of new energy efficiency programs, including managing program development and operations post-launch.
Grace joined CEE in 2020. Prior to CEE, she worked on the solar team at Energy Trust of Oregon in Portland, OR, and as a fire protection engineer in Bozeman, MT. Grace has a BS in chemical engineering from Montana State University.
AS the multifamily program manager, Grant is responsible for implementing CEE's multifamily programs, including overseeing day-to-day tasks of utility programs and strategizing on expanding CEE's reach within the multifamily sector.
Grant started at CEE as an energy auditor. Previously, he worked for a variety of governmental agencies as a naturalist, delivering environmental education to diverse audiences. He holds a BS in environmental geoscience from Northland College in Ashland, WI.
As an energy counselor, Sao works directly with homeowners to help them understand how their home uses energy by identifying and installing low- and no-cost opportunities and measures to save both energy and money.
As a senior energy auditor, Mike is an expert at explaining to homeowners the nuances of home energy conservation and how to best achieve the maximum energy savings and home comfort.
Mike has more than 25 years of experience conducting energy audits, weatherization inspections and HERS ratings.
Mansoo Cho is a research engineering intern for CEE. He previously worked at Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation. As a data science intern, he analyzed research data and built predictive models.
He is currently pursuing a master's in data science at University of St. Thomas.

As an energy advisor, Rita provides energy advising and schedules services to all CEE residential customers.
Rita joined CEE in 2018. Previously she worked for over 15 years in design, creating prints and artwork for apparel, and she worked as an information specialist at the Industrial Fabrics Association International. Rita graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BS in clothing design and studied further in graphic design.
As a community energy planner on CEE’s Communities team, Deirdre works with communities through Xcel Energy’s Partners in Energy and other programs that foster community-led strategic energy, resilience, and climate planning. Deirdre is also certified as an Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) certified by the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure. That certification allows her to guide communities through infrastructure projects with a sustainability, resiliency, and equity lens, leading to the recognition of projects for those efforts and ensuring the project's success. Deirdre also participates on CEE’s staff council and volunteers for multiple water organizations in Minnesota.
Deirdre joined CEE in 2019. She came to CEE from a nonprofit where she did similar community and local government work for water sustainability and conservation. Along with her education in environmental and social sciences, she is trained in facilitation and received the 2019 Excellence Award for Volunteer Program Development from the Minnesota Association for Volunteer Leadership.

Prior to CEE, Finneas worked in the food service industry and retail. He took classes at Century College in White Bear for the Energy Technical Specialist two year degree program where he gained knowledge in wiring, energy efficiency, and building science.
Karin most recently worked as a Regional Operations Specialist for Coldwell Banker Realty in Edina. She previously worked at ResourceWest, a charitable nonprofit in Hopkins. She spent three years working as an Assistant Language Teacher in Japan with the JET Program and has volunteered with the Minnesota Literacy Council.
As a senior auditor for CEE’s residential programs, Elliott inspects homes to assess insulation levels, air tightness, and combustion appliances to identify ways that homeowners can make their homes safer and more energy efficient. Elliott also helps train the workforce development program trainees to develop technical and soft skills while working in the field.
Prior to CEE, Elliott worked at the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board with aquatic invasive species management. He also spent time working for the Conservation Corps of Minnesota & Iowa working as a crew leader doing natural resources work.
Elliott holds a degree in Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, with an environmental studies minor. During his time at Eau Claire, Elliott was on the board of the Student Office of Sustainability and was a part of the waste audit report research team.
Josh manages the Salesforce system at CEE's St. Paul office.
He previously worked on targeting and data systems for Clean Water Action and as an organizer for forest and wildlife protection with the Sierra Club.
As a multifamily energy auditor, Phil assists with CEE’s multifamily programs, working to make multifamily buildings of all sizes more efficient.
Phil started as an energy counselor in 2016. Previously, he worked as a senior survey research analyst at Food Perspectives, Inc., a market research taste test company. He holds a BS in geography from the University of Minnesota.

Before joining CEE, Raymond worked as a field organizer for U.S. House of Representative Angie Craig. This led to continued government service with the Minnesota Department of Revenue as an internal revenue examiner. He studied at St. Olaf College and majored in political science and American studies with a concentration in environment.
As an energy counselor, Kira works directly with homeowners to help them understand how their home uses energy by identifying and installing low- and no-cost opportunities and measures to save both energy and money. Kira graduated from Luther College with a BA in English and Environmental Studies. Prior to joining CEE, she worked with the Luther College Center for Sustainable Communities.
As an energy counselor, Halla works directly with homeowners to help them understand how their home uses energy by identifying and installing low- and no-cost opportunities and measures to save both energy and money.
Previously, she worked as a canvasser for Clean Water Action on various environmental policy campaigns. She holds her BA in environmental studies with an emphasis in political science from Macalester College.
As community program coordinator, Matthew engages and coordinates with city governments, community organizations, residents, and businesses to support the implementation of community energy projects.
Prior to this role, Matthew was an Energy Counselor at CEE, working directly with residents to help them understand how their home uses energy by identifying and installing low- and no-cost opportunities and measures to save both energy and money. He also led home energy visits with Spanish-speaking residents and built partnerships through outreach to better serve Latinx communities in Minnesota.
Matthew graduated from St. Olaf College with a BA in environmental studies and minors in Latin American studies and management.
Chris is the president of Center for Energy and Environment. He took over the role in March 2016, making him CEE's second leader since it began work as the City of Minneapolis' Energy Office in 1979.
Chris came to CEE from community-focused energy efficiency nonprofit Neighborhood Energy Connection (NEC), based in St. Paul. In addition to overseeing NEC's goal setting, external relations, administration, and finances, he helped expand its program offerings which include residential energy audits; home loans; Energy Fit Homes certification (in partnership with CEE); and the award-winning HOURCAR car-sharing program. Under his leadership, NEC’s annual budget increased from $2 million to $5 million, the staff count nearly tripled, and organizational assets grew almost fourfold.
Prior to NEC, Chris was assistant director of the Energy CENTS Coalition, where he had worked previously as an advocate for low-income customers at the Public Utilities Commission and legislature and as an energy efficiency program manager. Before that, he was acting director of the Minnesota Senior Federation, where he coordinated public policy activities and statewide public relations. Chris holds a BA in history from Macalester College in St. Paul.
