BuildUp MN's Jett Roeser will present a session on the 2024 Minnesota Commercial Energy Code, focused on HVAC requirements that are particularly complex or are often missed by designers. Topics will include HVAC equipment and control requirements, successfully implementing verification, testing, and commissioning requirements, considerations for projects following a performance pathway, and how to properly demonstrate compliance on construction documents to ensure a smooth permitting process.
Real world compliance data and insights from recent Minnesota projects reviewed through the Community Code Support program will be used to illustrate common design challenges and areas of noncompliance. The session will also provide a high‑level overview of key changes in the next Minnesota Commercial Energy Code, likely effective in late 2027.
