The cities Bloomington, Brooklyn Park, Eden Prairie, Edina, Fridley, Hopkins, Mahtomedi, Mounds View, New Hope, Oak Park Heights, Plymouth, Richfield, Roseville, Shorewood, St. Louis Park, Woodbury work with CEE to buy down the cost of visits for their residents.

What is included in a home visit?

Both installation of energy saving materials and diagnostics are included in a Home Energy Squad visit. For more details on what is included refer to the How it Works page.

Will all the materials listed be installed at my home visit?

We know that every house has different opportunities, which is why the Home Energy Squad visit is not cookie cutter.  Each home visit will be different based on your needs and interests, including which materials are installed.  If you already have certain products, we may not install them and choose to spend more time on diagnostics or helping you plan next steps.

Do I qualify for a free visit?

Free visits are available to income-qualified households. Click here to view the full current income guidelines on the MN Department of Commerce website.

If I've had a utility audit in the past, will I still benefit from a Home Energy Squad visit?

Even if you have had a utility audit performed on your home in the past, Home Energy Squad can still be a useful program to help reduce energy costs and connect with other resources. If you have completed any energy improvements on your home since your utility audit - especially air sealing or insulation - then we can check to make sure that your installed measures are actually saving energy.

Are there financing available to complete my insulation and air sealing recommendations?

Yes, CEE's Lending Center has low-interest offerings for insulation and air sealing upgrades. Contact our Energy Advisors for help with next steps, 612-244-2484 or
