The program operates under Xcel Energy’s Business Energy Assessments (BEA), a suite of offerings that provides affordable energy consulting services to businesses customized to their size and energy needs. By identifying the most strategic energy efficiency opportunities, the BEA program enables businesses to make smart energy decisions that conserve money and energy, with ample support navigating rebates and other resources that offset improvement costs.
CSA delivers assessments comparable to an ASHRAE Level 1 assessment to commercial, non-industrial buildings. The affordable, quick-to-complete assessment is ideal for small to midsized businesses seeking a manageable shortlist of prioritized operational and equipment recommendations that reduce energy use and overhead costs.
Many solutions that CSA advisors identify are low- or no-cost, providing immediate wins and practical energy conservation opportunities. Following an initial assessment, participants receive a two-year energy roadmap that prioritizes minor repairs, tune-ups, and free energy-saving equipment installations.
CEE staff have extensive experience in performing energy assessments, navigating rebate programs, and creating detailed reports that empower customers to follow through on upgrades long after the initial assessment. By helping businesses zero-in on the most cost-effective and practical energy solutions, the incremental steps detailed in a business’s CSA report can lead to impactful long-term savings.
As the program implementers, the CEE team will perform the on-site energy assessments at businesses, assist customers in finding contractors and reviewing bids, support project implementation, and ensure savings and rebates are maximized.
