Jason Clay
Community Program Coordinator

Jason works at CEE as the community program coordinator. His role at CEE is to provide project support and coordination for various Communities Department initiatives, such as Electrify Everything Minnesota and Energy Disclosure. As part of these efforts, he conducts community-facing workshops and attends community events to grow awareness and participation in the various energy programs.

Previously, he worked as an environmental specialist with the Iowa Waste Reduction Center based out of the University of Northern Iowa. In this role, he worked on projects and grants dealing with food waste and composting, storm water, emerging contaminants, and provided environmental compliance and technical assistance to small business throughout Iowa. His prior work experience has included work related to public parks, community gardening and food security, riparian conservation, and small-scale organic farming.

Jason received his BA in anthropology from the University of Iowa and his MA in environmental studies: social ecology from Prescott College.
