CEE announces new board members: CamerAn J. Bailey and Daniel Sheridan

The board of directors of Center for Energy and Environment (CEE) recently welcomed new members CamerAn J. Bailey and Daniel Sheridan.

CamerAn J. Bailey is a planning specialist and urban agriculture coordinator with Ramsey County. CamerAn has spent 10 years working in community development, finance, planning, and policy. He also co-runs a multifamily urban farm in Minneapolis-St. Paul.

Daniel Sheridan is a vice president in U.S. Bank’s Infrastructure and Project Finance group. He previously served as M&A and Capital Markets Manager at Clēnera, and held finance and investment roles at Advanced Power and Nationwide. Earlier in his career, he held roles with Nexus PMG, Xcel Energy, and Flint Hills Resources.

“I’m delighted to welcome CamerAn and Daniel to CEE,” said board chair Amanda Novak. “Daniel’s career focus on clean energy technology and finance is immediately relevant to our priorities, as is CamerAn’s expertise in community planning and government partnerships. Each brings uniquely valuable skills and experience to inform our work for clean energy solutions that improve our environment and strengthen the economy for all.”

Across its programs and service offerings, CEE prioritizes equitable decarbonization and better access to promising efficiency technologies. Guided by its board, President Chris Duffrin, and COO Stephanie Haddad, CEE is powered by a team of 260-plus clean energy professionals working with partners throughout the upper Midwest to discover and deploy energy solutions that strengthen our economy and our environment. All efforts unite behind its vision for a healthy and inclusive carbon-neutral economy.

In addition to new members Bailey and Sheridan, CEE’s board roster and roles are:

Amanda Novak, Chair. Novak is executive director of Twin Cities Housing Development Corporation, a nonprofit developer committed to preserving quality affordable housing across Minnesota. Previously, she served as senior VP for strategic integration at YMCA of the North and as an independent consultant focusing on impactful real estate initiatives.

LisaBeth Barajas, Vice Chair. Barajas is executive director of community development at Met Council, where she has worked since 2007. She also has served as adjunct faculty instructor for urban and regional planning grad students at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs.

Nancy Tyra-Lukens, Treasurer. Tyra-Lukens is the former mayor of Eden Prairie, a role she served in 2002–2006 and 2011–2018, after serving on the city council 1994–2001. She also served many years on the SouthWest Transit Commission and Surburban Transit Association.

Julia Donaldson. Donaldson is senior vice president of program services and mission advancement at Volunteers of America – Minnesota and Wisconsin. Prior to that, she served as director of advancement at Pillsbury United Communities in Minneapolis.

Tom Garry. Garry serves as senior attorney at The Nature Conservancy. Previously, he was an attorney at Best & Flanagan, working in the areas of real estate, civil litigation, and environmental law, and also served as a researcher at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs.

Jimmy Loyd. Loyd serves as economic development director of the City of Saint Paul, leading community lending and other programs to advance prosperity of residents. He served previously as community economic development director at Pillsbury United Communities.

Pepe Wonosikou. Wonosikou is Dean of Student Success at Saint Paul College where she develops and implements culturally affirming, student-centered services. Prior, she provided planning and fundraising consulting through Numan School Project and managed programs at Northside Achievement Zone.
