As a research analyst, Tyler will be leading the field work that CEE is conducting to evaluate ComEd's electrification programs in northern Illinois. These programs provide income-eligible residents with new equipment ranging from heat pumps, induction stovetops, efficient electric dryers, and heat pump water heaters. He will be monitoring the performance of these equipment to evaluate the impact of ComEd's electrification program on participants' energy use and utility bills.

Before joining CEE, Tyler was in a Ph.D. program at Washington University in St. Louis. He graduated with his Ph.D. in Energy, Environmental, and Chemical Engineering in December 2025. Tyler's research focused on conducting community-based air quality monitoring to evaluate air pollution disparities in St. Louis, MO.
