With a few key steps, you can minimize repairs and keep your system operating at peak efficiency for longer.
Tips for building occupants:
- Replace thermostat batteries annually
- Replace filters quarterly
- Keep the mechanical room clean
RTU tips for HVAC maintenance professionals:
- Clean condenser and evaporator coils
- Test economizer function
- Check outdoor air damper position
- Perform combustion analysis for gas burning appliances
- Clean and inspect drain pan and drain line
- Check refrigerant levels
- Check ignitor, flame sensor, and capacitors

- Collect a water sample to analyze water quality
