Catherine works at CEE as an evaluation and social science researcher. She is responsible for managing and conducting research activities including research design, data collection, data analysis, and report writing. She also manages subcontractors and vendors to perform similar work.

Prior to CEE, she worked at the University of Minnesota Climate Adaptation Partnership, where she conducted climate communication research and trainings for polar scientists, undergraduate students, and media practitioners. She also spent seven years teaching undergraduate communication courses in media literacy, argumentation, and public speaking. 

Catherine holds a BA in communication and political science from Concordia College, an MA in environmental communication and advocacy from James Madison University, and a PhD in environmental communication from the University of Minnesota.
