Alex Dumont is originally from New Jersey and went to college at Birmingham-Southern College in Alabama. There he obtained a Bachelor's Degree in urban environmental studies and a minor in business finance. 

Before joining the Home Energy Squad, Alex was a shift supervisor at Starbucks and worked with environmental advocacy groups GASP; and the Birmingham Botanical Gardens in Alabama.
