As an energy counselor, Morgan works directly with homeowners to help them understand how their home uses energy by identifying and installing low- and no-cost opportunities and measures to save both energy and money.
Prior to joining CEE in 2018, Morgan completed an AmeriCorps term with the Conservation Corps of Minnesota, which involved conservation and restoration work in St. Paul and leading a crew of high school students on natural resource projects.
As a lighting consultant with the One-Stop Efficiency Shop, Brad assists small business customers with efficient lighting purchase decisions and educates customers, contractors, and distributors on the benefits of energy efficient lighting and the opportunities available through One-Stop and other utility rebate programs.
Before CEE, Brad worked in the hospitality and tourism industry as an assistant clubhouse manager at Town & Country Club and, more recently, as a sales representative for a maintenance supply company where he managed over 100 accounts.
As a sales support specialist with the One-Stop Efficiency Shop, David works with vendors, customers, and One-Stop staff to calculate rebates and process invoices.
Before CEE, David worked with residential rebates at Xcel Energy. David attended the University of Minnesota Duluth and has a BA in political science.
Rebecca Olson oversees all aspects of the residential energy programs at CEE including the Home Energy Squad, energy audit programs, quality assurance activities, multifamily programs and services, and new construction energy consulting.
Rebecca joined CEE in 2012. Throughout her career, she has had various roles in residential energy efficiency including work as an energy auditor, low-income weatherization program director, and building science educator.
Rebecca has a BA in architecture from the University of Minnesota. She currently serves as co-chair of the Minneapolis Energy Vision Advisory Committee.
As a loan officer at CEE, Ranti is responsible for processing home improvement financing applications for the Lending Center. This position provides core support to participants of the Lending Center.
Ranti has lending experience from her past work at Wells Fargo as a personal banker and loan officer, as well as her experience as an underwriter at Highland Bank and Symphony Bank. Ranti has a degree in Catering and Hotel Management.
Mark developed protocols and conducted assessments for indoor air quality issues, moisture intrusion, building defects, building operations and maintenance practices, building controls, as well as provided building commissioning and retro-commissioning services.
Mr. Opdahl has over 20 years’ experience working in multifamily buildings and has performed assessments on over 1,500 buildings. In that time, he has been responsible for designing, coordinating, and completing commercial and multifamily programs for CenterPoint Energy, Xcel Energy, the Wisconsin Energy Conservation Corporation, and other organizations and private clients.
In addition to his work in commercial buildings, Mr. Opdahl conducts lighting audits and post-installation quality control inspections for the One-Stop Efficiency Shop small business lighting program. He also trains building management, staff, and operators in both the public and private sector on correct operations and maintenance of buildings to increase occupant comfort and decrease energy consumption.
As a program coordinator, Arbor helps ensure CEE achieves its goals for implementing new energy efficiency programs by assisting with program delivery in addition to a wide range of supportive activities.
Arbor joined CEE in 2020. Arbor comes to CEE with a background of mission-centric work in housing, youth education, and corporate training. He is a lifelong environmentalist and is looking forward to bringing his personal passion into the energy efficiency field.
As the regulatory policy manager, Audrey works with CEE’s policy team to anticipate, analyze, develop, and advocate for CEE positions in matters before Minnesota’s regulatory agencies and in other public forums. She works closely with experts both within and outside of CEE to assist in setting the strategic direction of CEE policy advocacy, and to develop and effectively communicate CEE’s regulatory positions.
Audrey joined CEE in 2017. Prior to CEE, she worked on energy conservation policy and related regulatory topics at CenterPoint Energy. While at CenterPoint Energy, Audrey also supported municipalities in Minnesota to help them achieve goals related to energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainability. This included working extensively with the City of Minneapolis through the Clean Energy Partnership.
Audrey earned her bachelor’s degree from Macalester College and a master’s degree from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota.
As senior accountant II, Shelley is responsible for the general accounting functions of CEE. She works with staff and clients to ensure that accounting entries are properly recorded and that information is accurately reported in the organization’s financial statements. Shelley also promotes a strong internal control environment and seeks to develop process improvements within the finance and administrative groups.
Prior to joining CEE, Shelley was an auditor for a public accounting firm, with a concentration in nonprofit organizations with A-133 audits.
Shelley has a BSB in accounting from the University of Minnesota and is an active CPA.
As a quality assurance inspector, Chris completes inspections for Metropolitan Airport Commission’s noise mitigation program and CEE’s various residential programs.
Before CEE, Chris worked for over 20 years as a residential energy specialist at Sustainable Resources Center where he completed energy audits and inspections for the low-income weatherization program.
Chris is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, with a degree in political science.
As the community relations manager, Nate is the main point of contact for community issues regarding the Sound Mitigation Program and CEE's Lending Center. His primary focus is to develop and maintain relationships that promote the use of CEE administered financial resources to promote responsible energy consumption.
As a graphic designer, Melissa designs and produces materials from brochures to formal reports, proposals, infographics, presentations, email, direct mail, corporate identity, website graphics, social media, and visual assets for multichannel marketing campaigns.
Prior to CEE, Melissa was an in-house and freelance graphic designer, working with local nonprofits to international brands. She also works as a visual artist and creates corporate and community murals.
Melissa has a background in fine arts, earning her BA in studio art from the College of Saint Benedict in 2014. She earned her master’s degree in graphic and web design from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 2018.
As part of the administrative team at CEE, Josie assists operations through direct client interaction and department support. She aids multiple programs, including the Lending Center and the One-Stop Efficiency Shop program. She plays a significant role on the communications team, helping with website design, content creation and promotion, and social media.
Josie’s passion for sustainability and green living sparked during her undergrad at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she studied conservation biology and environmental science. She has continued to fan this flame by not only working with CEE, but also as the social media and promotions coordinator for Do It Green! Minnesota, a sustainability organization.
As a community program coordinator, Kelsey assists communities participating in Xcel Energy's Partners in Energy program by analyzing and modeling energy data.
Prior to joining CEE, Kelsey studied the intersection between urban agriculture and community development in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Kelsey holds an MS in natural resources from the University of Minnesota and a BS in natural resources from Cornell University.
As a senior research engineer at the CEE, Josh works on grid modernization efforts including strategic electrification, solar energy deployment optimization, and using efficiency and other DERs to manage distribution system capacity. His recent work includes HVAC duct leakage and retrofit sealing, condensing boiler efficiency, energy recovery ventilation systems, garage contaminant transport, and residential furnace efficiency retrofits.
Josh has thirteen years research experience in solar energy, heat and mass transfer, and energy efficiency. Prior to CEE, Josh spent time researching thermochemical storage cycles at ZAE Bayern outside Munich Germany and the Solar Energy Lab at the University of Minnesota. Josh obtained his master’s degree (2008) and PhD (2012) in mechanical engineering from the University of Minnesota.
As the senior program manager for the One-Stop Efficiency Shop, Mary works with vendors, customers, and One-Stop staff to finalize projects being submitted for a utility rebate.
Mary has been with CEE since 1983 and has worked on a variety of programs including the Neighborhood Energy Workshop program, Operation Insulation, and the Metropolitan Airport Commission’s Part 150 Sound Insulation program. She has a BA in anthropology and sociology from the University of Minnesota.
As a client development manager for CEE’s engineering services, Mark initiates business development activities highlighting recommissioning, new construction commissioning, and continuous commissioning services as well as energy studies and certifications to prospective clients.
As a lighting consultant for the One-Stop Efficiency, sponsored by Xcel Energy, Mark builds constructive industry relationships to stay abreast of the latest lighting and controls technologies and educates vendors and business owners on practical, energy efficient lighting solutions.
An energy efficiency veteran of more than 15 years, Mark has helped thousands of businesses save on operating costs by optimizing and retrofitting existing equipment. He holds a bachelor’s of applied science from the University of Minnesota Duluth and an MBA with emphasis in finance and strategic management from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
As the junior systems administrator, Dave helps employees fix various IT problems and ensures servers are working optimally. Dave joined CEE in 2014.
