FACT SHEET: Proving Out of FTE Flooded Evaporator Technology on a Grocery Store CO2 System in Minnesota

As part of a CARD-funded research project, this case study examines a field-study of a Lunds & Byerly's grocery store that installed FTE technology for flooding evaporators. CEE’s monitoring and empirical savings analysis verified that operation of the FTE technology and the subsequent increase in medium-temperature suction pressure allowed for by the FTE technology provided measurable energy savings that were statistically significant. Based on the success of the FTE system in their Highland Bridge store, Lunds & Bylerlys has included the FTE technology in additional new stores.
