Minneapolis Bonus Rebate Program
The City of Minneapolis is offering a bonus rebate on qualifying home energy efficiency improvements.
To qualify, the recipient must not have received a Minneapolis Energy Efficiency Loan or Grant for the project the rebate is being used for. Completed applications must be submitted by December 15, 2024

About the Rebate
- Bonus rebate amount not to exceed:
- Green Zone residents: $14,000
- Non-Green Zone residents: $5,000

- Minneapolis bonus rebate and utility rebate cannot exceed the total project cost.
- Only one rebate per eligible project.
- Project must be completed and all required documentation must be submitted to receive the bonus rebate.

Property Eligibility
- 1-4 unit, owner-occupied or absentee-owned residential properties located in the City of Minneapolis.
- Properties under construction, greater than 4 units, co-operatives, or used for commercial purposes are not eligible.
- Recipients cannot have received a Minneapolis Subsidy Loan or Energy Efficiency Grant for the project the rebate is being used for.
- Applications must be received within 60 days of work completion and submitted by December 15, 2024. Funds are available on a first come first serve basis.
Rebate Details
Below is a summary of the eligible energy efficiency improvements. To be eligible for a rebate, these improvements must have been made within 60 days of applying for the rebate. The table includes the relevant utility (Xcel Energy and CenterPoint Energy), and City of Minneapolis rebates. The total of City of Minneapolis and Utility rebates cannot exceed the total cost of installing the system(s).

- Completed copy of the application form.
- Copy of the utility rebate/approval check or the supplemental energy application.
- Copy of the final invoice.
- Copy of valid ID.
