CEE is working with multiple community organizations to launch Xcel Energy's Workforce Development program, aiming to recruit, train, and permanently place participants historically underrepresented in the energy efficiency sector, specifically people of color and women.

The Intercity Home Energy Squad® Challenge was formed to challenge residents to get a home energy visit through the Home Energy Squad to learn how their home uses energy and identify energy-saving opportunities.

The Save to Give Challenge, Focus on Energy's rural pilot program run by CEE, has expanded to the Wisconsin cities of New Richmond and Mount Horeb, where residents will raise money for local charities while they save money learning new ways to save energy.

Hennepin County offers tips and tricks for keeping warm and increasing energy efficiency this winter through the Hennepin County Climate Action Plan, including the CEE-administered program the Home Energy Squad and our energy-resource website the Home Energy Hub. 

As heat pumps become a growing part of energy efficient heating, CEE's Minnesota Air Source Heat Pump Collaborative works to remove barriers and accelerate affordable adoption of heat pumps while improving installation quality through training. 

Members of the New Hope City Council, acting as the Economic Development Authority, extended an agreement with the Center for Energy and Environment to administer low-interest home improvement loans to help homeowners make improvements to either the interior or exterior of their homes through 2024.
