City of Minneapolis Green Business Refrigeration Program
Refrigeration can be one of the biggest drivers of energy use in restaurants, grocery, convenience and liquor stores.
The City of Minneapolis is providing funding for up to 20% of the total project cost to small business owners who implement refrigeration efficiency upgrades after receiving an on-site assessment from Xcel Energy. Businesses located in select Green Zone areas of Minneapolis will receive funding for up to 30% of the total project cost. This funding combined with utility rebates can pay for up to 50% of your total project cost.
- To be eligible for City funding, the business must be located in Minneapolis and eligible to participate in Xcel Energy's Commercial Refrigeration Efficiency Program. Addresses and program eligibility will be verified by program administrators prior to disbursing funds.
- Maximum City funding per project is $10,000 and on a first come, first served basis until funds are depleted.
- City funding is first-come, first-served until funding is used.
