Impact of Energy Fit Homes℠
May 23, 2014
The Center for Energy and Environment (CEE), in partnership with the Neighborhood Energy Connection (NEC), has developed a residential energy efficiency certificate program specifically for Minnesota’s existing homes, called Energy Fit Homes℠. Energy Fit Homes is focused exclusively on energy efficient upgrades that are cost-effective to the homeowner. Certified homes have reached a basic standard of energy efficiency, with all improvements done to meet Energy Fit Homes health and safety standards. The program officially started certifying home in February of 2014.
The first certification was awarded to Ken Waletzko's Bloomington home. Take a look at the newest CEE Impact Story to learn more about the process Ken went through to receive the certificate, as well as the impact the certificate has made for his home and family!
