News Release: Clean Energy Partnership wins EPA’s 2016 Climate Leadership Award (City of Minneapolis)

Mar 9, 2016

The groundwork for the Clean Energy Partnership began when the City of Minneapolis contracted with CEE for the "Minneapolis Energy Systems Pathways Study" to develop a vision for Minneapolis' future energy system including potential legal, regulatory, and program options to achieve its aggressive clean energy goals. Established through agreements CEE helped negotiate over nearly 18 months, the partnership leverages the unique resources of Minneapolis, Xcel Energy, and CenterPoint Energy to achieve carbon reduction goals. The Clean Energy Partnership officially began its work in January 2015.
