Feb 18, 2016

From KIMT3 news:

..."I hope people have a better sense of the transformation that is happening in the energy world and to also understand that they’re going to be more a part of it and more in control,” said Joe Sullivan, Manager of Strategic Relations at Center for Energy and Environment.

He also says that renewable energy is growing in electric systems.

“Thirty years ago there was one source of light bulbs and now there are hundreds of sources of light bulbs and you can do all sorts of things with them,” said Sullivan. “I want people to have a better sense that all of this change is happening and yes it is a little scary and it’s creating difficulties for electric utilities, but it also is innovation.”

Local panelists at this event include representatives from Albert Lea Seed and Freeborn-Mower Cooperative Services.
