Communities receive Clean Energy Community Awards

CEE is the Minnesota implementer of Xcel Energy's Partners in Energy, in collaboration with national partners Brendle Group and Vermont Energy Investment Corporation (VEIC).
Three Partners in Energy communities, Red Wing, Winona and Edina, were honored with Minnesota Clean Energy Community Achievement Awards. These communities won based on their contributions to Minnesota’s clean energy goals through encouraging energy conservation and renewable energy generation.
From MN Department of Commerce:
“Minnesota has ambitious clean energy goals and the objective of our Clean Energy Community Awards is to acknowledge the great work of communities in helping to achieve those goals,” said Commerce Commissioner Jessica Looman, whose agency serves as the state energy office. “Our state is a national leader in clean energy initiatives. We want to continue that momentum, and these communities are helping to lead the way.”
