CEE grows with new staff to advance our energy efficiency work
CEE is excited to welcome a new cohort of energy efficiency colleagues that will aid us in helping Minnesota businesses, homeowners, and communities become energy efficient. Whether it’s through program development and leadership, or expertise in mechanical engineering and HVAC, our employees are an invaluable asset and crucial to the achievement of our organizational mission.
Introducing our newest members:
Marisa Bayer, Community Energy Planner. Marisa came to CEE from the City of Eden Prairie, where she focused on housing and community development. While at the City she managed the launch and implementation of the city's Sustainable Eden Prairie program.
Sarah Jordan, Energy Counselor. Sarah started her career in energy efficiency through the Minnesota GreenCorps program, where she worked with Hennepin County to help develop a county-wide building energy benchmarking program.
Ashly McFarlane, Multifamily Program Coordinator. Ashly has over seven years of experience supporting energy efficiency and sustainability programs. She began her career in energy efficiency at Project Performance Company — an energy management and IT consulting firm based in Virginia.
Jarad Miles, Energy Counselor. Before joining CEE Miles worked as a freelance writer-editor and media strategist for design-build firms focused on quality and sustainability in the high-performance building sector. Jarad holds a B.S. in journalism and mass communications from South Dakota State University.
Morgan Nordby, Energy Counselor. Before joining CEE, Morgan completed an AmeriCorps term with the Conservation Corps of Minnesota, where she did conservation and restoration work throughout the City of St. Paul and led a crew of high school students on various natural resource projects.
Jessica Sisombath, Senior Accountant. Jessica has worked as a staff accountant for a manufacturing company, as well as the YWCA of Minneapolis and has a B.S. in accounting from St. Catherine University.
Taylor Smith, HVAC Consultant. Prior to joining CEE, Taylor worked for various Twin Cities heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) companies, filling roles such as ductwork and ventilation specialist, commercial HVAC installer, and residential geothermal HVAC service technician.
Lauren Sweeney, Research Analyst. Lauren come to us having worked as an international sales engineer with Twin City Fan Companies. Lauren also serves as chair for Hearts and Hammers and as co-chair for the Sustainable Building Committee, Minnesota Section of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers.
Matt Lindberg, Energy Auditor. Matt previously worked for the Office of Sustainability at the University of Wisconsin as well as in the solar industry. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin (Platteville) with B.S. in sustainable and renewable energy systems.
Lisa Holland-Aaron, Scheduling Assistant. Lisa has worked as the lead event server at French Meadow in uptown and for Target Corporation. Lisa graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. in multidisciplinary studies with a focus in sustainable business and integrative health.
