Why CEE?: I work to help CEE achieve its mission in compliance with nonprofit accounting, tax, and contractual guidelines.
In Meranda's words:
CEE's biggest accomplishment so far is its impact on Minnesota's practical approach to environmental sustainability. Next we'll continue our leadership transition from founder Sheldon Strom to new president Chris Duffrin as well as the merger of CEE and Neighborhood Energy Connection. I am excited to work through the challenges and opportunities that come with such significant changes in CEE's ongoing operations.
As other CEE teams create and deliver programs and services to reduce energy waste, our finance and administration team works to ensure that all bills are paid, IRS form 990 and Minnesota state filings are completed accurately and on time, legal and financial due diligence are maintained, and annual fiscal audits stay clean and clear year after year.
Our hardworking team has helped the organization strengthen our budgeting and tracking processes and adopt best practices for efficient and effective record keeping. We constantly evaluate and refine our policies and procedures to ensure that CEE demonstrates exemplary nonprofit financial stewardship and accountability.
