We’re excited to welcome a new cohort of passionate and curious colleagues to the office and field. This month we introduce new faces on the ever-growing Home Energy Squad team, as well as interns, and other fresh faces at CEE (including yours truly!) — all of whom play an important part in helping us devise and implement pragmatic energy efficiency solutions for a greener future.
Introducing some of our newest colleagues:
Emily McPherson, Program Development Manager
Prior to joining CEE, Emily worked as a consultant on numerous energy efficiency market transformation programs in the Pacific Northwest. Emily holds a BA from Willamette University and completed a Sustainable Building Adviser Certification (cSBA) in 2011.
Cody Klipsic, Energy Counselor
Cody came to CEE with a background in electrical maintenance. He also has experience as a personal care assistant. Cody is a graduate of Metropolitan State University.
Jason Depuydt, Energy Counselor
Before he started working at CEE, Jason worked as a bookseller, a construction worker, and a farmer. Jason has a BS in English education.
Nadia Mohamed, Human Resources Intern
Nadia is currently pursuing an HR management degree from Metro State University with a minor in business administration. She also volunteers with the City of St. Louis Park, for which she was recognized in March 2019 with a St. Louis Park 2018 Human Rights Award.
Samuel Wondimu, Program Development Intern
Prior to this role, Sam worked in various roles focused on topics surrounding healthcare, local policy, and digital health innovations. Sam received his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities' Health Services Management program.
Dana Rider, Writer/Editor
Dana’s past work experience has revolved around grant writing and project management in local nonprofit and political spheres. She received her BA in linguistics and Italian from the University of Minnesota in 2015 and is currently pursuing a copyediting certificate from UC San Diego.
Owen Mackaman, Energy Counselor
Before coming to CEE, Owen worked as a study abroad program manager, which provided him with the opportunities to work with groups of college students in six different countries. He previously graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in classical studies.
Tylor Solstad, Energy Counselor
Before joining CEE, Tylor worked in the food industry both as a server and in food preparations. The fast paced environment provided the opportunity to learn efficient communication and prioritization skills.
