Why CEE?: I hope to contribute to a cleaner energy future by providing accessible, engaging, and creative resources to bridge the gap between goals and on-the-ground impact.
In Megan's words:
CEE's independent research informs the field as well as our own program and service innovations. As one example, I'm proud that our studies were pivotal in establishing blower door testing as a credible diagnostic tool for energy efficiency across the country.
We're operating on multiple levels — local and national, micro and macro. My colleagues at CEE have the technical and engagement expertise and policy know-how to support the next generation of wide-scale energy improvements in the Midwest, like grid system efficiencies and customer technology integration. As engagement coordinator, I help champion and meet the need to continually translate and share research findings as resources for energy, utility, and building professionals, because there is always something to learn from the work that we do. This constant two-way transfer of knowledge, including industry feedback, helps us build new partnerships and business relations, and also fosters unified efforts for broader field progress.
We blend technical expertise with engagement techniques to translate energy information and opportunities for key audiences. This combination supports both energy professionals and entire communities to make pragmatic decisions for greater sustainability. As new technologies open new doors to energy efficiency, we are here to help test the tech and expand choices for energy customers (all of us!), and evaluate and communicate the emerging opportunities to practitioners.
It is a busy and exciting time. It is wonderful to work with a team that so fully supports the shift toward technologies, services, and policies that meet evolving customer demands.
