Molly Janis Smith joined CEE in February 2018. She supports the City of Saint Paul, in partnership with the City Energy Project, to increase the energy efficiency of large, existing buildings, with a focus on benchmarking. The City Energy Project is a joint initiative of the Institute for Market Transformation and the Natural Resources Defense Council to create healthier and more prosperous American cities by improving the energy efficiency of buildings.
Molly brings over 10 years experience to CEE. Prior to CEE, she worked in organic food, Fortune 500, and public sector organizations, specializing in environmental inventories, energy, waste, carbon markets, and sustainable packaging. She also managed commercial and residential energy efficiency programs, so CEE is very much a return to her roots.
Molly has an MS in Climate and Energy Sustainability from Antioch University, and a BA in Political Science from Carleton College.
