Energy Loan Program
The Home Energy Loan Program is a statewide program that offers
low interest loans to homeowners that want to make energy improvements
to their properties.

Loan Application - Complete the application and
send it to the Center for Energy and Environment at 212 3rd Avenue
North, Suite 560, Minneapolis, MN 55401 or fax it to 612-335-2650.
Loan Terms
- Maximum loan amount is $10,000
- Interest rate: 5.99%
- Maximum term 5 years
- All loans will be secured by a mortgage
Eligible Borrowers
- No maximum income limit!
- Borrowers must own the property or be purchasing it through a
mortgage or contract for deed
- You must close on the loan prior to beginning project(s).
Proof of Income
- If you are employed: submit copies of your two most recent paystubs.
- If you are retired: submit a copy of your social security benefits
or pension.
- If you are self-employed: submit copies of your Federal Tax Returns for
the last 2 years.
Eligible Improvements
- Improvements can include the following: storm windows * storm doors * furnace
* boilers
*
air conditioning *
insulation * water heater
- Applicants must provide bids for each improvement project.
- If you are uncertain about the eligibility of your improvement

Eligible Structures
- Owner-occupied, 1-4 unit properties
- Up to 49% of the residence may be used for business
- Property must have been built prior to May 1, 1989
